We plan to hold our NC State Open separate this year and have the Virginia Open & District 4 in September. We have a block of 10+ rooms reserved under "NC Checkers" - Group rate of $75.00 + tax = $84.69 for a king or double bed, non-smoking, available May 13th through 16th; however, most players will book the 13th & 14th. Same venue we have used in the past seven years, and our contact person is Laurie Stafford or Jordan Spivey. You must let the desk receptionist know you are a "checker player" to get group discount and make your reservation by phone (336-434-4797), don't use the internet to book your room. Please reserve your room early since you may cancel anytime prior to check-in until 4:00 PM on the date of your arrival without charge or penalty. We plan on a Master/Major Division. We have an adequate conference room on the 14th & 15th for $100.00 per day for our playing room. We have the usual complimentary continual breakfast but there are some good places to eat breakfast and lunch close by, “see above."  Get directions by: “click map above"  Registration begins at 8:00 AM and NC Business Meeting: 8:30 - 9:00 AM, Tournament Starts at 9:00 AM.
